Uptown Dog

Adventures of a not-so-average mutt making new friends in New York City

Food for thought

It’s Friday, and to be perfectly honest, I’m exhausted. Getting ready for Christmas and being on my best behavior all the time is a lot of work!

I decided to end the week with a little food for thought.

I asked Mom what this saying means, and she says dogs look past imperfections and always see the good in people. I don’t know what “imperfections” she’s talking about…my Mom and Dad are perfect! But I thought this might resonate with my human readers anyway.

What do you guys think? Is there a particular motto you live by?

I also have a favor to ask. If you’re enjoying my blog, please follow me on Facebook and Twitter and share my posts with your friends. I love getting new readers!

  1. My people are perfect too. I’m not sure what this sign means.

  2. Tall person always says that you should treat people the way you would like to be treated. If everyone did that perhaps the world would be a better place.

“it’s nice to be nice”. Not always as easy as it sounds, especially when driving in traffic and shopping in crowds.

  6. This is a beautiful motto to live by! Merry Christmas to you all!!

  7. sucks to suck

now, megan, is that nice? How about you post your favorite John Wooden quote. I love that one…

  10. I do love that John Wooden quote, but I don’t have it memorized verbatim and I completely butcher it when I try to repeat it in public. Its something like, ”Things turn out best for people who make the best out of how things turn out.” Another personal favorite is, “Let dem h8rs b ur motiv8rs.”

  11. Uptown Dog, you are one cutie patootie and lucky you, you get to live in New York, my hometown.

I like your motto. Those really are words to live by. Thanks for sharing! 🙂
